چکیده

Abstract In this study, bionanocomposite coating solutions were created using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and chitosan (Cs), with different concentrations of cinnamon essential oil in nanoemulsion (n-CEO; 0%, 5%, 10%, 20%) TiO 2 nanoparticles (TiO -NPs). The was characterized Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy EDX, mechanical barrier property assessment. Additionally, antimicrobial antioxidant properties total phenols evaluated. Generally, enhanced increasing n-CEO a favorable distribution film matrix. Moreover, phenols, antioxidant, activities also broader inhibition pattern against A. flavus , gram-positive, gram-negative bacteria. influence -NPs blended into on preservation fresh chicken breast fillets during 21 days refrigeration Added concentration, especially 20%, extended time up to 14 compared uncoated samples. Furthermore, weight loss decreased storage coated Thus, PVA/Cs/TiO –NPs bionanocomposites may be useful as for control microbial growth reduce cold storage.

Application of Bio-Nanocomposite Films Based on Nano-TiO2 and Cinnamon Essential Oil to Improve the Physiochemical, Sensory, and Microbial Properties of Fresh Pistachio

Bio-nanocomposite films based on sago starch containing 2% cinnamon essential oil and 3% titanium dioxide nanoparticles were used in the packaging of fresh pistachios and stored at different temperatures (4, 25, and 35 ˚C) and relative humidity (30, 50, and 70%) for 20 days, and pistachio properties were evaluated in five-day intervals. Using these films in packaging improved the physicochemica...

Increased antibacterial activity of Cinnamon Oil Microemulsionin Comparison with Cinnamon Oil Bulk and Nanoemulsion

Objective(s): Among herbal oils, cinnamon bark oil has several advantages such as anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity. It is already reported that particle size of oil droplets affects their properties such as their antibacterial activity. In this study, we investigated inhibitory activity of cinnamon oil products including bulk, microemulsion (ME) and nanoemulsion (NE)...

Quantity and functionality of protein fractions in chicken breast fillets affected by white striping.

Recently, white striations parallel to muscle fibers direction have been observed on the surface of chicken breast, which could be ascribed to intensive growth selection. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of white striping on chemical composition with special emphasis on myofibrillar and sarcoplasmic protein fractions that are relevant to the processing features of chicken breast...
